The Bird Garden
This peaceful corner, nestled in the heart of the Domaine, attracts a wide variety of birds every year: blue jays, sparrows, nuthatches, black-capped chickadees, swallows, bluebirds, and many more.
Thanks to its fruit-bearing shrubs and mature trees, the Domaine’s Bird Garden is a must-visit stop for any birdwatching outing in the Laurentians. You will occasionally encounter members of our partner, the Upper Laurentians Ornithological Club.

Any Questions ?
Feeding wildlife is strictly prohibited at Domaine Saint-Bernard. Please respect nature and help us protect local species.
The only exception: you may feed the birds with seeds provided inside the Grand Saint-Bernard.
According to municipal regulations, feeding deer is forbidden to avoid:
- Increased risk of vehicle collisions
- Property damage and nuisance for neighbours (deer feed on cedar hedges and shrubs)
- Reduced natural adaptation to harsh winters
- Higher risk of disease transmission (including Lyme disease from ticks)
- Disruption of natural migration patterns
Can we feed the animals?
Depending on the season: water bottle, comfortable shoes, hat or tuque, windbreaker, sunscreen, insect repellent, and extra clothes (for swimming or layering in winter).
If you forget something, visit the Grand Saint-Bernard Boutique. We’ve got you covered.
What should I bring?
In summer, the shop offers snacks, drinks, and local products. In winter, the bistro opens with simple, healthy meal option
Is there a place to eat or buy snacks?
