Steps to Take Part in Xplore

For more information on orienteering, visit the websites of the Fédération québécoise de course d’orientation or Azimut Laurentides.

Download the free iOrienteering app on your phone (iOS or Android). Then, scan the QR code for your chosen course using the app. It’s printed at the top of your course map.

To get your course map, stop by the Grand Saint-Bernard Activity Center to purchase a printed copy ($5), or open the digital version link below on this page.

The activity can also be completed without a smartphone, using only the paper form and a pencil.

Step 1

Head to the starting point, marked by a triangle on the map. Hint: it’s located in front of the Grand Saint-Bernard, on a bird feeder.

Start your timer by scanning the “Start” QR code.

Step 2

Time to begin your adventure! Find the checkpoints in any order. They’re marked on your map along with clues. Scan each one to record your progress.

Please stay on designated trails at all times. Walking off-trail between checkpoints is not permitted.

Step 3

Make it back on time!
Once you’ve scanned or identified all the checkpoints, return to the starting point.

Stop your timer at the “Finish” QR code, located in front of the Grand Saint-Bernard.
Your score will be calculated automatically.
