About the Domaine Saint-Bernard
The Domaine Saint-Bernard is a 1,500-acre protected nature reserve in Mont-Tremblant — a place where nature and community come together.
A protected land guided by a collective mission
At the heart of Mont-Tremblant lies a vast protected area for those who seek to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature.
Here, time seems to stand still. Throughout the seasons, the Domaine welcomes thousands of visitors who come to walk, learn, rest, and marvel at the beauty around them, a living place deeply rooted in its land.
The Domaine is governed by a social trust created to ensure the protection of the territory and its management in the interest of the community. This sustainable governance model was born from a remarkable gesture: the transfer of the land to the community by the City of Mont-Tremblant.

Our Mission
To protect, in perpetuity, the land, wildlife, flora, and natural processes, while providing affordable access to a natural site dedicated to educational, cultural, recreational, social, sporting, and scientific activities.
Our Vision
To be an exemplary model for the preservation of natural heritage for eco-recreational, educational, and cultural purposes.

Our History
Land Acknowledgment
The first records referring to the occupation of Domaine Saint-Bernard date back to the 1890s. We acknowledge that the Domaine Saint-Bernard is located on unceded Indigenous territory. We recognize the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation, in particular the Weskarini, as the guardians of the lands and waters of the Domaine. Historically, these peoples occupied the valley of the Lièvre River and the northern Outaouais region, including parts of present-day Mont-Tremblant, the Petite-Nation River, and the surrounding Laurentians. A semi-nomadic people, the Weskarini moved with the seasons to hunt, fish, gather, and trade, maintaining for generations relationships of kinship, collaboration, and reciprocity with other Algonquin and Anishinaabe nations. With respect for these ongoing relationships between Indigenous peoples and all members of the Mont-Tremblant community, we honor the connection between past, present, and future generations.

The Domaine Saint-Bernard Foundation
The Domaine Saint-Bernard Foundation actively supports the Domaine’s mission of preservation and nature education. Thanks to its support, numerous environmental, educational, and cultural projects come to life every year.
The Domaine relies on generous donors to fulfill its mission to protect the land, and offer an accessible space to experience nature.
